We kick off our 2nd Anniversary celebration with our next Brewmaster’s Dinner featuring Craftsman Brewing from Pasadena, CA. We hope you join us as Chef Nick Brune and Craftsman Brewing founder Mark Jilg collaborate to bring you six courses of delicious food paired with six California craft beers.
First Course: Halibut with Mango, Chili, and Coriander paired with Key Lime Wit
Second Course: Avocado Slaw with Apricot, Mint, and Crispy Shrimp paired with Ursa Minor (barrel aged Red Ale)
Third Course: Pear Juice Poached Potatoes with Lavender Chicken paired with Triple White Sage (Belgian-style Tripel brewed with hand harvested white sage)
Fourth Course: Praline Pork Belly paired with Acorn Saison
Fifth Course: Duck with Fried Shallot, Leeks, and Allspice Quinoa paired with Cabernale
Sixth Course: Toast, Butter, and Jam with Sourdough Ale

Coral Tree Farms is a small family run farm, just off of Requeza Avenue in the heart of Encinitas.
This wonderful day on the farm will start with a tour of Coral Tree Farm (including the cute and cuddly animals). Followed by a cooking demonstration and tasting by Chef Jenn Felmley (MENUS WILL BE POSTED THE WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT, AS WE WILL BE USING AS MUCH FARM PRODUCE AS POSSIBLE).
Classes will be held from 1 to 3 pm , $38 Per person, part of the proceeds will go towards Laurel’s (the farmer) future desires for the farm! So come learn, eat and support your local farmer.
Classes will be held outdoors under beautiful palm trees, and we request that you bring your own plate, fork and cup!
After class students will be able to purchase farm produce, local honey and Temecula Valley Spices.don’t forget to bring cash.

We host an annual Awards Ceremony and Marketplace at the iconic Ferry Building in San Francisco to honor the Good Food Award recipients who push their industries towards craftsmanship and sustainability while enhancing our agricultural landscape and building strong communities.
In its fourth year, Good Food Awards will be given to winners in ten categories: beer, charcuterie, cheese, chocolate, coffee, confections, pickles, preserve, spirits and our newest category, oil. Awards will be given to producers and their food communities from each of five regions of the US. The Good Food Awards seal, found on winning products, assures consumers they have found something exceptionally delicious that also supports sustainability and social good.

Heathly gardens start with healthy soil, and there is no better ingredient than compost to add to your planting beds, or use as mulch. Compost will increase your soils fertility, add micro- and macronutrients, buffer pH and improve soil structure.
This hands-on workshop will give you the knowledge to start composting in your backyard. The first half will go over the basic’s and the second half we will build your own vermicomposting bin.
Amy Zink is the owner & educator of Green Pea Gardens, an edible garden design, education & solutions company. Amy is also the Garden Coordinator at San Diego Cooperative Charter School where she works educating students how to plant, grow & eat healthy food.

Classes are a blast, include one-on-one instruction from a professional culinary instructor, are totally hands-on, and everyone sits down to enjoy the meal together.
The Moroccan menu featuring a totally vegan 3-course meal and includes a local craft beer pairing with the dinner.
