      Mar 10 – Mar 15

      From event website:

Delight your taste buds with sustainable seafood from incredible restaurants!

Sustainable Seafood Week unites restaurants committed to bringing attention to the sustainable seafood movement. Each restaurant agrees to feature a sustainable seafood plate or prix fixe menu and donate a portion of their profits to support the San Diego Oceans Foundation’s research and marine science education programs. This week-long event entices guests to try new restaurants and opens their eyes to a whole new world of delicious entrees. Sustainable Seafood Week helps to educate the public about the importance of supporting businesses that have developed more sustainable solutions to environmental concerns, proving that a simple choice can have a lasting and beneficial impact on the environment.

Visit the event website to view a listing of participating restaurants. Or, follow their event page on Facebook!

Come for the beer, stay for the food. Come for the food, stay for the beer. Either way you need to be here.

Most beer festivals are all about standing in line to get your taster and then go and stand in another line for another taster. Food is almost always an afterthought. However, that’s not how we do things at the MVCBF Festival. We believe beer AND food are natural partners and we offer a wide variety of both. Our food vendors are all chefs who bring their “A” game to the table. It’s part of our unique identity that we refuse to lose.

      30 Breweries and a full 20 Chefs… Take a look!.

      Chef lineup:
Nicholas Dapper/Amore Cheesecake, Eron Baker/Baker Shake Foods, Stella Midori Makofski and Joe Russo/Bernardo Winery, Steven Molina/Delicias, Hanis Cavin/Carnitas Snack Shack, Teegan Smith/Crown Point Catering, Olivier Bioteau/Farmhouse Cafe, Karl Prohaska/Handlery Hotel, Tyson Blake/O’Briens Pub, Rich Sweeney/R Gang Eatery, Tommy Fraioli/Sea Rocket Bistro, Nathan Farkas/Slaters 50/50, Alex Carballo/Stone World Bistro, Nico Caniglia/Sweiners, Matt Richman/Table 926, Jeff Rossman/Terra, Nate Soroko, Toronado, Mark Liautad/Urge Gastropub, and Nick Brune/Local Habit.

      Brewery lineup:
Alesmith, Ballast Point, Belching Beaver, Cold Bore Brewing, Coronado Brewing, El Cajon Brewing, Golden Mead Company, Green Flash Brewing, Hangar 24, Helms Brewing, Hess Brewing, Hillcrest Brewing, Iron Fire Brewing, Karl Strauss, Latitude 33, Lightning, Mad Lab, Manzanita, Monkey Paw, On-the-Tracks, Port Brewing/Lost Abbey, Prohibition, Rough Draft, Saint Archer, San Diego Brewing Co, Societe, Stone, The Beer Company, Thorn St, Wet-n-Reckless.

Those folks will give you what’s you’ll be eating and drinking. But what are we sticking in your ear? … Here’s our band line-up!

-Leading off in our VIP hour will be alternative/popular rock ear candy provided by Danny and the Tramp.

      - The middle of the festival will be manned by the dance-hall reggae groove of So*Cal Vibes.

      - Closing the show for this stellar line-up will be the beach rock reggae of Split Finger.

And for those of you joining us at the Reef Lounge After Party we’re bringing you Safety Orange who have been at three of the four festivals.

Add to that our partnership with Wounded Warrior Homes, and you have a spectacular day of food, beer and fun for a great cause.

Wounded Warrior Homes is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization that serves medically discharged, single men and women of our armed forces with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Our mission is to provide affordable housing, hands-on resources, and a defined path for each member to transition from active-duty military service to independent living as a veteran of foreign wars.

The improvements we made last year are still in full effect:

-VIP Hour- the first hour of the festival will be a limited ticket VIP hour with full access to the chefs and brewers. VIP Ticket holders will receive a free MVCBF tee shirt (while supplies and sizes last)
-BIG festival layout to keep lines from clogging that has allowed us to include more all theses breweries and chefs.
      - A large seating area to sit and enjoy all the food, beer, and atmosphere. (this is a biggie)
      - Commemorative tasting glasses.

To keep the party rolling, we’ll also be hosting an after party in our fabulous Reef Lounge with food and beverage specials and yet another band.

Local Beers. Local Food. Local Music.

      30 Brewers; 20 Chefs; 4 Bands; 1 helluva good time….
