In addition, you will be able to bid on one (or all ;)) of our great silent auction items, participate in a dance class, and boogiewoogie the first night of summer away with Sue Palmer!
The WMC proudly announces that Denise Montgomery – recently appointed executive director of the City of San Diego’s Commission for Arts and Culture by mayor Filner – will be joining us as our honorary guest!
Why do we have the event?
Coming together as a community is an important part of our mission. Since this popular event is our one and only annual fundraiser, monies raised are allocated towards permanent collection preservation, research, and cultural and educational programming focused on educating the public about women’s history and gender imbalance. In addition, funds allow us to not only curate both our many exhibits and annual juried art show – bringing recognition to contemporary Californian women artists – but also enable the WMC to host local woman-owned or run organizations’ events at a deeply discounted rate throughout the year.
Volunteer opportunities are always available. Please fill out the WMC’s Web form here if you are interested starting now!+6:30 pm6th ANNUAL SAN DIEGO WINE, CHEESE, AND CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL
