San Diego Community Mini Market Potluck4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
From event website:
I know holiday shopping is the last thing you want to think about but you know it’s coming, you know you have to do it at some point. Whether it’s for a company gift exchange, or your family’s secret santa, or getting that something special for your boo – you know you need a gift! So why not pick up something made from the heart and possibly by someone you may know!!
That’s the idea for this event!!
Plus it’s even more than that b/c we will have art, music, and food!!!
Plus were doing crafts too!! These could also be cool gifts!
Wow, homemade gifts from you? Your parents will love it!!!But really this event is for you! It’s for you to have a good time with your friends and check out what the community has to amaze us with!
Please be sure to bring a dish for the potluck!
Anything you can bring will be greatly appreciated. Also we would like to ask that you bring your own utensils, plates, and cups if possible to help from less contribution to the already exuberant amount of plastic that already exists ;)
Let’s get together for a great time together and enjoy each other gifts and company while building our community!
We have some vendors for the mini-market already signed up but I am looking for some more crafters, herbalists, and creative DIY people who are looking to get their products known by people of the community {and make a couple extra bucks too} So if you or someone you know has a special skill or product and would be interested in showcasing their product please tell them about this event and have them contact me directly at Nikki@bnhealthy.net

Cooks Confab Christmas Dinner1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
From the event website:
The Cooks Confablieri, San Diego’s famed grouping of notable chefs and mixologists, is hosting a premiere event this winter. Taking a step back into the Victorian age realm with a classic British style holiday dinner, Christmas Dinner! will be held at Oliver & Rose on Sunday, Dec. 16th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Cooks Confab has teamed up with its longtime partner Slow Food Urban San Diego to give San Diegans an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind classic British Christmas dinner where guests will enjoy the experience of an old-fashioned Christmas dinner with a variety of activities sure to please.
Cooks Confab is a group of like-minded chefs who band together every few months to create meals centered around a theme or central ingredient. The mission: promote local, sustainable and responsible menus, bring good people and great food together, share the love, and if we educate our guests on the food or its provenance, all the better. Accessible. Affordable. Fluid. Fun. A percentage of the proceeds from each Confab event is donated to Slow Food Urban San Diego, because we all believe in their mission.
