6th ANNUAL SAN DIEGO WINE, CHEESE, AND CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Could there be anything better???
From event website:
Get ready, get set for our 6th ANNUAL SAN DIEGO WINE, CHEESE, AND CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL on Friday June 21st at our new home in LIBERTY STATION. Every year we bring over 50 wine, cheese, and chocolate makers together for a night of tasting, dancing, and good fun.
Mark your calendar for our Festival on the year’s first summer night! Enjoy cheese and chocolate from donor vendors and private chefs, sample delicious wines from Californian vineyards, dance to live music of SUE PALMER – San Diego’s QUEEN OF BOOGIE WOOGIE – and take your chances by bidding on one of our many silent auction items.
Visit the new museum space at Barrack 16 and don’t forget to bring all your friends! This year’s event will be held on the grassy North Promenade at Liberty Station adjacent to the Women’s Museum.
Individual tickets: $40
Group tickets (10+ guests): $35
V.I.P. tickets with reserved table seating: $50 per person
For the price of one ticket you will receive a keepsake stemless wineglass, select six tastes of delicious wines, pick and choose six bites of amazing cheese and/or chocolate creations, and take home a gift bag with lots of discount coupons (some up to $150 value!). In addition, you will be able to bid on one (or all ;)) of our great silent auction items, participate in a dance class, and boogiewoogie the first night of summer away with Sue Palmer!
The WMC proudly announces that Denise Montgomery – recently appointed executive director of the City of San Diego’s Commission for Arts and Culture by mayor Filner – will be joining us as our honorary guest!
Few sponsor partner spots still available. Click here for more information or contact: ellis@womensmuseumca.org and she’ll give you a call.
Why do we have the event?
Coming together as a community is an important part of our mission. Since this popular event is our one and only annual fundraiser, monies raised are allocated towards permanent collection preservation, research, and cultural and educational programming focused on educating the public about women’s history and gender imbalance. In addition, funds allow us to not only curate both our many exhibits and annual juried art show – bringing recognition to contemporary Californian women artists – but also enable the WMC to host local woman-owned or run organizations’ events at a deeply discounted rate throughout the year.
Volunteer opportunities are always available. Please fill out the WMC’s Web form here if you are interested starting now!
